ABSTRACT

Objective:To study the expression characteristics of myocardial strain index after the abnormal origin of the left coronary artery of the pulmonary artery in children was repaired. Methods:The data of 30 children (study group) with abnormal origin of pulmonary artery left coronary artery repair from August 2017 to August 2021 were analyzed. In addition, healthy children during the same period were selected as the control group, and the study group was compared before and after treatment and the control group. Circumferential and radial peak myocardial strain index, post-contraction strain index. Results:The longitudinal, circumferential, and radial overall peak strain indexes of the study group before and after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the longitudinal, circumferential, and radial overall peak strain indexes of the study group after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment ( P<0.05); The longitudinal, circumferential, and radial peak strain indexes of the study group before treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group. After treatment in the study group, the middle section of the longitudinal inferior wall, the middle section of the anterior wall, the basal section of the anterior wall, the apex, and the circumferential direction were significantly lower The peak strain index of the basal segment of the inferior wall and the middle segment of the inferior wall was significantly lower than that of the control group; and the longitudinal, circumferential, and radial peak strain indexes of the study group after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment ( P<0.05); the study group children before treatment Longitudinal, circumferential, and radial PSI indexes were significantly lower than those of the control group. After treatment, the study group was treated in the longitudinal inferior wall, septal apical segment, circumferential inferior wall basal segment, inferior wall middle segment, and radial PSI anterior wall basal segment, apex. The part was significantly higher than that of the control group; and the longitudinal, circumferential, and radial PSI of the study group after treatment were significantly lower than before treatment ( P<0.05). Conclusion:After ALCAPA repair, the overall and regional strain and overall synchronization are improved, indicating that the resting myocardium has recovered, but the strain of certain segments supplied by the abnormal left coronary artery fails to normalize after ALCAPA repair. Persistent myocardial injury is consistent, which can provide some guidance for the prognosis assessment of children with ALCAPA.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe and follow up the effect of transcatheter occlusion of the azygos/hemiazygos veins in patients with complex congenital heart diseases and venous stealing after bidirectional Glenn procedure, who had not meet the criteria of total cavopulmonary connection(TCPC) or corrective operation. Methods:This article analyzed retrospectively and followed up the effect of transcatheter occlusion of the azygos/hemiazygos vein in patients after bidirectional Glenn procedure hospitalized during February 2012 to September 2017.Results:Transcatheter occlusions of azygos veins were performed in 21 patients and left superior vena cava(LSVC) was occluded in one of patients meanwhile. Azygos veins and hemiazygos veins were both occluded in two patients. One patient had the hemiazygos vein occluded. Aortic-to-pulmonary collaterals were occluded in 6 patients in the meantime. Atrial septal defect occluders were applied in the transcatheter occlusions of azygos veins, hemiazygos veins and LSVC, except one patient with an azygos vein which was 5.5 mm in diameter. Saturation was increased from 0.78 to 0.85 through occlusion( P<0.05). The pressure of superior vena cava(SVC) did not elevate and the mean pressure of SVC was13.97mmHg and 14.22 mmHg before and after occlusion( P>0.05). No complications associated with interventional procedures occurred. There was no significant decrease in blood oxygen saturation. Facial and upper limb edema, varicose veins in the chest and abdominal wall, pleural effusion and peritoneal effusion did not happen during follow up of 2 years. Two patients underwent TCPC operation one year and five years after interventional occlusion separately. Conclusion:Transcatheter occlusion of azygos/hemiazygos vein or PLSVC was feasible in patients with complex congenital heart diseases and venous stealing after bidirectional Glenn procedure on the premise of choosing suitable indications. Suitable indications meant that the pressure of pulmonary artery and superior vena cava was less than 20 mmHg in the basal state, and the pressure of superior vena cava was also less than 20 mmHg before the release of the occluder. Occlusions may increase the oxygen saturation of patients, improve the quality of life, and even promote the development of pulmonary vascular bed, so as to achieve the indications of TCPC operation in some patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the prevalence of health literacy in China in 2011-2013.Methods The eligible studies were identified by searching China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),Chinese BioMedical Literature Database (CBM),VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals (VIP),Wanfang database,PubMed and Embase. The Meta-analysis was applied with Stata 12.0 software.Subgroup analysis and sensitivity analysis were performed to test the robust of the results. Results A total of 28 studies, including 53 308 residents, were finally included in the review.Meta-analysis revealed the prevalence of health literacy in China to be 16% (95%CI 15%-16%),and the prevalence of health concepts and knowledge was 25% (95%CI 25%-26%),and healthy lifestyles and behaviors was 13% (95%CI 12%-14%),and health skills was 32% (95%CI 31%-32%).Conclusions The health literacy levels of residents showed a rising trend. There were differences between rural and urban health literacy levels and different regions.Rural residents' health literacy level increased more significantly than that of the city.Due to limited kinds of methods, more scientific and effective methods were needed to evaluate the health literacy.

ABSTRACT

Investigators selected students who had finished physiology course using the second edition of textbook for long-term medical program.A questionnaire about its content organizations as well as overall compiling condition was designed.Investigators collected the feedback information from the 94 available questionnaires.Meanwhile, some contributive suggestions were provided for the compiling of the whole series of long-term medical program textbooks.
